COVE offers gut-friendly kombucha and soda drinks that actually taste great.

  • The co-founders, John and Ryan, created their unique kombucha in their mum’s kitchen. When everyone loved it, they started attending farmers’ markets. 

  • Their kombucha doesn’t just taste great – it’s also authentically brewed and uses organic cane sugar to help with digestion and general immune health. 

  • Based in Canada, their drinks are available in Canada and the US. 

  • No artificial colourings or flavours. 

  • Their soda contains up to one billion probiotics so it can be drunk guilt free. 

  • The kombucha is brewed using black tea and fresh juices with only 45 calories per drink.

🔍LET’S GIVE SOME CONTEXT

  • John and Ryan are brothers who, when fresh out of university, began to brew kombucha in their family home. Nothing extraordinary about that, right? Wrong. 

  • Everyone loved their concoctions, so they began to sell it at the local farmers’ market in Halifax, Nova Scotia. 

  • Ryan made the risky decision to leave university and John left his full-time job to pursue their passion. 

  • That was seven years ago. To date, they have sold over $10m of probiotic soda and kombucha.

  • They believe in their products, and won’t stop at gut health drinks.

🤔 POTENTIAL BRAND CHALLENGES

  • They currently only have two products on offer. Although Cove Drinks has multiple flavours available, they currently only offer kombucha and soda.

  • Cove’s current website doesn’t allow you to make a purchase. It’s not an ecommerce site, so you cannot buy directly from Cove Drinks. You can buy online from other sites, like Costco, or in-store.
